Digital Classroom Expectations and Etiquette
ATTENTION!! Any inappropriate use of online sites used for our class will be subject to discipline by Mrs. Arendt and Mr. Hahn; that includes conversations AND pictures.
"Etiquette=the customs or rules governing behavior regarded as correct or acceptable in social or official life"

1. JUST BE NICE! Respect the views of other students. You may have a different opinion and still be respectful. You can say things like, "I appreciate your comment, and you made some good points, but I think..." to begin your response. Before you click "submit," re-read your entry.
2. Always reference material from other sources, and if you take it from an online webpage, provide the link to it.
3. In our online academic classroom, do not use "beach voice" (text messaging, IM'ing); use "wedding voice" (formal writing: complete sentences with support, correct spelling, grammar, punctuation), and consider having a Dictionary.com tab open.
4. Contribute relevant comments that are related to the assignment.
5. Make your comments easy to read, concise, and understandable, even if you have to go back and edit and change it.
6. When you respond to someone else, write your comment like a letter by including a greeting, content and a closing with your name.
